Possible Class Closures

Possible Class Closures

Dear Parents and Carers,

Due to the ongoing problems with Coronavirus and the current lockdown situation, there is a higher risk that we may have to close classes, year groups or even our school, if pupils or staff contract the virus in the future.  Such decisions would be dictated by Public Health England and the DFE, and we would contact these departments as soon as possible, when we receive news of a positive case.

We ask for your understanding and felt that prior warning that this could happen would be helpful so that you can make provisional arrangements with work and childcare.  Please remember the lockdown rules in doing so, especially the following...

-you cannot visit another household unless they are in your bubble

-you can only form a bubble with one other household

-you should work from home if possible

If we do need to close classes / the school in the future, we will share work for the children to do at home whilst they are away.  This will help to prevent them from falling behind and we really appreciate your good work with home learning.

If your child is absent because you are isolating and you are not too ill, you will find home learning activities on the class pages on this website, set by your class teachers. Go to https://www.brigg.derbyshire.sch.uk/classes/

Thankyou!
