New Covid Rules April 2022
The Government and DfE have updated their guidance in relation to Covid and isolation. It now states that: 'If a child or young person aged 18 or under tests positive for COVID-19, they should stay at home and avoid contact with other people for 3 days. This starts from the day after they did the test.'
Therefore, if your child has Covid-like symptoms you should assess how well they feel and if they have a temperature, in the same way as an assessment is made for all other illnesses. They can then return to school when they no longer have a high temperature and feel well enough to do so.
