Back to School 2022

Good afternoon and Happy New Year. I hope you have had a lovely Christmas and your child/children are looking forward to returning to school tomorrow, Monday 10th January 2022. For the new term, please note the the following important  information: 1. Should your child experience any of the main symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19), they should take a lateral flow test &/ or arrange a PCR test. 2. From 11th January in England, people who receive positive lateral flow device (LFD) test results for coronavirus (COVID-19) will be required to self-isolate immediately and won't be required to take a confirmatory PCR test. 3. In line with the reduced self-isolation approach announced on 22 December, anyone who tests positive will be able to leave self-isolation 7 days after the date of their initial positive test if they receive 2 negative LFD results, 24 hours apart, on days 6 and 7. At The Brigg we will: - Continue to encourage good hygiene for everyone; Please wash your hands before leavnig for school and we will wash again on arrival and regularly throughout the day.  - Maintain appropriate cleaning regimes. - Keep occupied spaces well ventilated. Please wrap up warmly as windows will be open. - Follow public health advice on testing, self-isolation and managing confirmed cases of COVID-19. I look forward to welcoming your child/children back to school in the morning and hope for an exciting but settled term ahead.

Best wishes

Mrs Spencer, Headteacher
