A Big Thankyou for Tree Planting

WE HAVE RECEIVED A LOVELY LETTER FROM THE TREE PLANTING TEAM TO SAY THANK YOU TO EVERYONE...
Congratulations to The Brigg Infant School for working with District Councillor Andrew Joesbury and The BDC Community Woodlands Project to create such a wonderful fruit and nut orchard for the school and the local community.
Andrew Joesbury and I would like to thank you and all your staff, children and parents for really getting behind The Local Roots orchard planning and planting. Your preparation work was fabulous: collecting all those leaves, coming up with the name for the orchard, designing the sign and even coming up with names for all the individual trees.
It was fantastic that all the children were able to come down on the day to help with digging, planting, watering and mulching and the support from staff and parents to enable this was tremendous. We have had so many positive comments about the trees already so I think they should be very proud of the important and valuable work they have done.
We hope the children will also enjoy looking after the little Stone Pines saplings until they are big enough to plant out and that they are looking forward to watching the trees grow and learning about the flowers and food that they will produce over the next few years.
We have really loved working with you on this and look forward to continuing to support the project in the future.
Best Wishes
